Nestled in the heart of Wicklow, tucked into the corner of a meadow on a 70-acre working farm, lies Tigin. The cabin sits in the corner of a large south-facing field bustling with wildlife. The tiny house comprises an open-plan space with a mezzanine sleeping level, complete with kingsize bed and accessible by ladder stairs.
Downstairs, the living area has a daybed below the huge window, with a foldaway dining table and chairs. The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge with an ice box, gas stove and large sink. The space has been equipped with ceramics and materials crafted and woven by Irish makers, wherever possible.
There is a hot shower and Scandinavian-style dry toilet, shelves and a rail to store your belongings.
Outside there is a decked area with a copper bath, a Weltevree outdoor oven and fire pit with a cooking grill, benches and a picnic table.
A short walk away there is a rustic wood-fired sauna that you are welcome to use.

Who is Tigin for?
Only an hour from Dublin, Tigín is for those who want to explore Wicklow — the Garden of Ireland — from a cabin with a genuinely special view. Tucked into a meadow on a 70-acre working farm, it looks out over native woodland to the Wicklow Mountains beyond, with wildlife wandering the land around you. If you love an outdoor bath with views of the Wicklow Mountains, you've found it!
Hosted by Tim on his family farm, expect curious wildlife, the odd friendly sheep, and the warmth of a place that's genuinely lived in and loved.
Things to note: there's a 300m hike through the meadow to reach the cabin, so pack outdoor shoes depending on the weather. The toilet in the Tigín is a dry (non-flushing) toilet, with an always-on electric extracting fan.

What’s there to do?
You're in the heart of Wicklow, the "Garden of Ireland" — some of the best hiking in the country on your doorstep. Glendalough's glacial lakes and the Wicklow Mountains National Park trails are around 30 minutes away.
Closer to home, the 70-acre farm is yours to explore: meadow, native woodland, and lots of wildlife.
We would advise that if you’re coming to Tig and Samsu for a digital detox, it is best enjoyed by not leaving at all.
Have a soak in Cucu's custom roll top copper bath and watch the cows in the nearby rolling meadows.
Enjoy a three hour session in our forest sauna nestled on the edge of a lake, enjoy soaking up the nature views while you sweat.

Our recent stay at Saoirse was among the best holidays we have ever had. A few short hours into the stay, I felt my centre of gravity and shoulders drop. The 3 days there left me feeling the most rested I've felt in many years, and that feeling continues.

I had a beautiful time staying in the Saoirse cabin in Westmeath. Just about everything has been considered, right down to marshmallows for toasting over an open fire. My first solo trip and I've already rebooked.

Stayed at the Tigín in Wicklow for a gorgeous sunny weekend, and am already excited about going back in future. Switching off from my phone was incredible and both myself and my boyfriend really appreciated the pause. Plenty of hikes nearby and the landowners are really friendly.

Myself and my wife had an incredible stay at Saoirse. It should be a mandatory retreat for everyone at least once a year! We felt more relaxed and refreshed than we had in months. The only bit we weren't happy about was leaving.
